I have MS Virtual Server 2005 R2 with the same problem, ie my virtual computers are failing to start and this is the error I get in the event viewer "XXXX could not be started because there is not enough physical memory or system resources available"

I have McAfee ePO server which installs antivirus automatically hwne i computer joins the domain and it has installed McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i with Patch1.

After Reading from the above suggestions. I downloaded the Patch 6.1 and distributed it to all my computers, including the virtual server. now the virtual computers are starting without any problems.

Found that the problem was caused by the /3GB tag I'd added into the boot.ini when I upgraded the RAM.

Once this was tag was removed, leaving the /PAE tag in there, all my virtual machines could then start up.

The McAfee Update worked partially, but it just showed Turning on for a couple of seconds and again shows the same error. Duh... could this be due to the RAM constraint?

Also whats the minimum available RAM required for the installation?

Quick reply would be appreciated.

Stopped Acronis Image Services and then was able to launch Server.

Community Server was the worst thing that ever happened to our website. Slow clunky unfriendly... Could be less community friendly if it tried.

Nice spec, i always thought you were going to get a tablet PC :)

I got an apple Mac Book Pro with the T7800. I bought it a couple of months before they sneaked in the multi touch track pads :( mine can not do the nice iphone things the new ones can.....ohh well..

Hmm. There are many reasons. Topmost, I am a dotNet programmer, and like a system which I can easily tweak.

I think I will write it into a post soon. Will help people decided between Wordpress and CS.
